What Is Laminate Flooring?

The ever  increasingly  popular laminate flooring is a multi-layer synthetic flooring product. The product is made by fusing together different layers with a lamination process. Laminate flooring simulates wood or stone, in some cases, with a photographic applique layer under a clear protective finish layer.

Being a relatively thin flooring surface, the product is particularly dependent on a smooth cement subfloor for proper installation and performance. Laminate flooring is very durable and cost effective, provided it is installed over a properly prepared subfloor.

Many of the projects Covalt is called out on are just this type of subfloor smoothing and preparation. If you or your clients need concrete repair in Southern California and want to increase ease of installation, and proper wear/performance of laminate flooring, give us a call at (949) 496-3528
