Portaland cement mortars may be used for a variety of concrete repairs, such as facilitating accurate slopes or planes on subfloors. The product should be modified with the inclusion of a redispersible polymer and  may be reinforced with wire mesh or metal lath for added durability.

This type of concrete resurfacing is intended for interior use only, and usually as a subfloor preparation for carpet or tile. The system is typically installed at thickness between one inch and two inches, for standard repairs requiring deeper fill. For more precise and thinner applications, a semi self leveling underlayment compound is the product of choice here at Covalt Floor Leveling.
